During the tourist season I am a Partner in Distillery Walking Tours, President of Genova Tours, and Toronto Walking Tours. During the off season I travel widely writing of my experiences.

My full name is William Vito Genova. I am named after my Sicilian paternal grandfather. All of my grand parents came from Sicily and the village of Vita in the Province of Trapani. I have been to Sicily on several occasions. The most memorable being when I followed my family tree back 13 generations to the first Genova born in Vita in 1605. Regrettably in one aspect I am culturally deprived and I do not speak Sicilian (Italian). However I am an avid student of Sicily its history and culture.

I visited Sicily once again from Dec 14th 2006 to Jan 14th 2007. I traveled in a circular route around the island of Sicily taking in all the major cities and the smallest of Villages as well as the seminal hometown of my family, Vita. I graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in Communications.  I then worked as a print reporter and an on air personality in radio and television. I also was a Director for a number of companies as their Corporate Communications Manager as well as running my own Advertising and Public Relations Company. My formal address and salutation in Italian would be Dott Genova.
